I got myself a couple of the character Building Scooby Doo blind bags. I'm not really a Scooby Doo fan but I thought, why not. I may as well have myself a Lego Compatible Scooby Doo and I would probably make him crash the party in some of the monster fighter sets. I went for the main characters because I don't really care much for the monsters you get in this set. I managed to get four of the mystery inc. team out of just four bags so basically 100% success. I find the character building blind bags are really hard to feel out because they usually don't have any accessories to distinguish them. Saying that you can easily find Velma and Daphne if you try and feel the bag for the skirt piece which is not attached to the legs in the bag. Scooby is also pretty obvious to feel out.
So there we go, four members (I didn't get Fred but he is my least favourite anyway) of the five members of Mystery Inc. I'm not sure I will even bother looking for Fred he might be too hard to feel out and not really worth the time. These micro figures look pretty good and a lot like their animated counterparts. Shaggy's torso and legs look a little plain but that's what he wears in the show so you cant really complain too much about that. The printing on Daphne is alright. Scooby looks really good, I have no complaints about the Scooby figure what so ever. He looks like Scooby, has some good printing and some good points of articulation.
One of my main complaints about the character building micro figures is the heads, they usually alter the shape of them to match a specific character and don't make the hair removable. However I think they suit the cartoon style of Scooby Doo so I wont complain too much about the heads this time around.
In conclusion I think these figures aren't that bad. I'm not usually a fan of the human based figures in Character Building sets but I think these cartoony figures capture the subject matter quite well. It is definitely worth hunting out a Scooby for any fan of the show and he is a common find in these bags so it shouldn't be too difficult. The Scooby looks great and would fit in well with anybody's custom Lego minifigs.
