Lego Minifigures Series 16 Banana Suit Guy Review

Lego minifigures dressed as food is the future. I imagine due to the popularity of the Hot Dog Suit Guy in series 13 of the collectible minifigure series, Lego have decided to add another food group to the minifigure suit arsenal. This time we have a man in a banana suit for Lego minifigures series 16. My bet for the next one is a guy wearing an ice cream cone.

When I first saw the line up for the series 16 minifigures, this was the figure I was second most excited about. The first being the mariachi as I wanted at least three of them to make custom ¡Three Amigos! figures. I really like this Banana suit guy, he's just a fun figure to have and he looks great. The banana piece is of course brand new and has never been produced in Lego form before. If you remove the banana suit the minifigure is fairly unexciting except for his happy sunglasses face and his dual molded arms. The torso and legs are just plain light green and light blue with no printing, which makes sense as these parts are covered most of the time. The banana itself has printing in the form of a banana sticker which is of the brand "Banana!".

In summary, this figure looks great and is a great addition to anyone's minifigure collection. He is fairly easy to feel out in the bags obviously due to the large banana suit. Have fun hunting him out and remember that there is always money in the banana stand.
