Lego Minifigures Series 16 Desert Warrior Review

The Desert warrior is one of my least favourite figures of this series. There's nothing particularly wrong with him and I do like the addition of different warriors from different cultures and backgrounds. However I just feel compared to a lot of the other figures he just seems a little boring. He has no new accessories and I feel his design is a little plain apart from some interesting details.

His turban is probably one of the most interesting things about him. Turban's are not uncommon in Lego form but I believe this is the first time this style of turban has appeared in dark green. His had only has a single face print which is a shame because he could do with a battle cry face to go with his rather serious expression. He is mostly topless apart from a nicely detailed strap and cloth belt which matches the colour of his turban. Both the strap and belt carry around to the back of the torso. His arms do include a nice golden print to represent bracers which is a nice little detail. His legs are dual moulded with white on the top and brown on the bottom. The cloth belt print from the torso carries onto the hips and legs but my favourite detail is the printing on the front of his feet to represent his pointy shoes. His accessory is a large black scimitar which has appeared in a fair few sets before this.

The Desert Warrior is a good figure but I feel the figures of this series have been such a high standard that this one is just a little bit boring. His most interesting features in my opinion are the printing on his arms and toes and the dark green turban. The best way to feel this guy out is to look for the turban or the scimitar.
