Lego Minifigures Series 16 Kickboxer Review

Here we have the Kickboxer which is the third boxer minifigure we have had in a minifigure series if you include the Boxer from series 5 and the Brawny Boxer from the Team GB series. This is the first time we have had a female boxer though and the detail of this figure surpasses the previous two by quite a bit. On brickset this figure is listed as a kickboxer but I can't really see any difference she would have with a regular boxer.

She has two head accessories a dark brown hair piece and red protective boxing headgear. A 1x1 black cylinder piece is also included to place the helmet on when she is not using it. Her head has two face prints one of which is a confident smirk and the other is more of mid-fight face with the nice detail of a bead of sweat dripping down her forehead. She's wearing a sporty red and white tank top with printing on both the front and back of the torso. The arms have no printing but she does have the fairly rare boxing glove hands which have only appeared on the previous two boxing figures mentioned above. Most of the detail in this figure appears in the legs which are dual moulded to give the effect she is wearing boots and shorts. The shorts have great detail which carry on to the side of the legs.

The Kickboxer is another great figure for series 16 but I feel most people will ignore this one simply because it's been done a few times before. I definitely think this figure is an improvement on the previous boxes and it is nice to have a female boxer but is that enough to make people care about owning this figure. The best way to feel out this figure in my opinion is to find the torso and feel for the hands as the boxing gloves on the torso are the biggest giveaway.
